
About John Beilein
John Beilein is National College Basketball Hall of Famer, who hails originally from New York and spent 32 years coaching at the high school, community college and NCAA levels before making his way to the University of Michigan in 2007. There, he was the winningest coach in the history of the program capturing two Big Ten Tournament Championships, two Big Ten Regular Season Championships and making two appearances in the Final Four. He was named CBS Sports National Coach of the Year in 2018 and Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2014. His teams have always been known for their excellent fundamentals particularly when it comes to shooting form and technique. Coach Beilein has since taken his talents and resume to the National Basketball Association where he currently serves as the Senior Player Development Advisor for the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.

Connection to the Ross School of Business
To build Beilein Basketball, Coach has partnered with the Living Business Leadership Experience program (LBLE) at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Every semester, a new group of students entering LBLE have the opportunity to work with Coach Beilein on Beilein Basketball. The photo shows the current students working on the project.
